Alex gave us a very informative tour of Amsterdam, with the highlights (for us, at least) being the developments around the timber harbour and the old industrial areas north of the river. Alex had also arranged rental bicycles for us, which were all in excellent condition. The fact that the tour took a little longer than planned was no problem for Alex. I also understood that Alex adjusted his tour along the way to better suit our interests, which he got to know better as we went along.
I would definitely use architectuurtoursamsterdam.nl again and/or recommend it to friends/colleagues.'

"At the end of August, led by Alex Hendriksen, we took an architectural tour of Amsterdam. We did this by bicycle, which allowed us to get a good impression of a number of projects within a three-hour timeframe. Given the international nature of our group, we opted for contemporary projects in Amsterdam West and Amsterdam North. Alex was well prepared and was able to provide us with a lot of useful information. The tour was conducted in German, which meant that the participants were able to focus their attention on the many beautiful projects from start to finish. While cycling, it became apparent that there was extra interest in the area around the NSDM shipyard, which was no problem for Alex. He turned the bikes around and set course for this area, where we were able to admire (and visit) a number of interesting buildings. Our contact with Alex was very pleasant, from the moment we started preparing for the tour to the moment we said goodbye. We rented the bikes ourselves, but Alex would have been happy to take care of that for us as well. In short, we highly recommend exploring Amsterdam's architecture with Alex!"
